Nestled on a private motu off the coast of Taha`a, Vahine Island is an exclusive retreat that perfectly embodies authentic Polynesia. Surrounded by turquoise waters, a vibrant coral garden, and a lush coconut grove, the island offers panoramic views of Bora Bora, Huahine, Raiatea, and Taha`a. With just nine bungalows, including three overwater and six beachfront suites, and one royal villa, the resort welcomes only a handful of guests, ensuring unparalleled privacy, serenity, and a deep connection with nature.
At the heart of the island, the restaurant serves refined cuisine blending Polynesian flavors with global inspiration, featuring local delicacies like Tahitian-style raw fish in coconut milk and Taha`a vanilla crème brûlée. The Tohonu Bar exudes island charm with natural wood, bamboo, and volcanic stone, while the Fare Massage Vanira spa offers soothing treatments using locally sourced ingredients such as Monoi oil, coconut, and aloe vera. Guests can enjoy candlelit dinners by the beach, explore the lagoon by kayak or paddleboard, or simply unwind amid the pristine beauty of this secluded paradise.

This boutique resort is truly Polynesian in its design. We love the spacious and airy layout of the Deluxe Beach Bungalows, which feature doors that open completely to reveal the water on one side and the coconut grove on the other. You can fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake up early to watch the local fisherman reeling in their daily catch. The nearby coral garden is amazing for snorkeling. The food at this resort is fantastic, and the overall ambiance makes it a real hidden gem on the island of Taha'a.
