Hotel Maitai Rangiroa

Hotel Maitai Rangiroa overlooks the immense lagoon from a rocky stretch of shoreline on the northern end of Rangiroa. Located five minutes from the airport, it provides convenient access to two of the world's best diving destinations, the Tiputa and Avatoru Pass. With the exception of six beachside bungalows, the majority of the guest accommodations are dispersed among a thriving coconut grove.

Each guestroom at the Hotel Maitai Rangiroa features a traditional design with appropriately modest furnishings. In the absence of any overwater bungalows, there is a shared overwater pier for easy access to the lagoon. The restaurant, Blue Lagoon, serves French, international and Polynesian cuisine in a charming and authentic atmosphere. Complimentary activities include biking, snorkeling, kayaking and outrigger canoeing.

This hotel was renovated recently to include a new freshwater swimming pool and a nicely redone beach. It provides excellent value for divers. The Garden Bungalows feature a duplex layout and remain a great option for families as well.
