Depart the port of Tahauku aboard a local fishing boat and cruise toward the island of Tahuata, passing the striking Hanakee Rock, where, if you`re lucky, you might spot graceful manta rays. Visit the charming hamlet of Hapatoni before making a stop in the village of Vaitahu, where you can explore its beautiful church, small museum, and local artisan market. Tahuata is renowned for its skilled woodcarvers and unique handcrafts made from horse and goat bone, pig tusks, and even swordfish bills. Finish the day on a stunning white-sand beach, where you’ll enjoy swimming, relaxing, and a traditional beachside barbecue.
