Captain Taina Wildlife Discovery and Motu Picnic

Take off on an unforgettable exploration of Moorea’s lagoon with your Polynesian guide, Captain Taina. A native of Moorea, she has been guiding people around the lagoon since 2003. Aboard the Honu Kea, her glass-bottom boat (maximum of 12 guests), she will tell you all about the tropical fish, turtles, coral, and underwater landscape visible through the glass panels. You will stop at a sand bank to have a close encounter with the playful rays and shy reef sharks before venturing on to a snorkeling stop where you may swim with green sea turtles. Finally, you’ll observe underwater statues in a tiki sanctuary.

From there, you will head over to her family’s private motu (islet) for lunch. On arrival refreshments will be waiting for you; rum punch, pineapple juice, beer, and water. You’ll feast on a local meal with fresh ingredients; Tahitian raw fish salad with coconut milk, fresh fish and chicken breast Kebabs, and seasonal fruits.
