preserved: pearl farms, traditional vanilla plantations, copra farming, and
fishing constitute it's principal activities and resources.

Several flights a
day (Air Tahiti) serve as links from Raiatea to the other islands: Bora Bora
(10min), Papeete (40min) and Huahine (15min).

Situated in a
paradisiacal setting on the Motu Tu Vahine (Island of the Woman), a
private little island of only 10 acres, in the middle of the lagoon of Tahaa,
the Hotel VAHINE ISLAND has everything to make your stay in paradise an
unforgettable one.
In order to preserve the intimacy and authenticity of the Hotel,
the owner has created a small scale format, purposely limiting the number of
bungalows to nine, using pure Polynesian traditional building materials and
techniques.

From the hotel it is possible to watch the sun rise over Huahine, the Untamed Island, the sun set over Bora Bora, the magical island and all day long there are fabulous views of Raiatea, the Sacred Island….
Upon your arrival we will greet you at the airport, and bring you to Vahine
Island, a 30 minutes ride in our comfortable boat.
Or you can totally spoil yourself by opting for the thrill of a helicopter
ride from (or to!) Bora Bora! An unprecedented way to discover the lagoon,
landing in the middle of our coconut grove… guaranteed excitement!!

The Complete
Continental breakfast, enhanced with local and "house" specialties, such as
Mango Marmelade, Vanilla Yogurt with locally produced vanilla, fresh tropical
fruit salad, prepared by our master chef.
Lunch on the beach facing the lagoon, light refreshing fare, served by our
Tahitian Lovelies in traditional gay floral print dresses.
In the evening, our restaurant beckons with refined and romantic
candlelight dinners. The diversity of offerings and subtle art of a local and
French cuisine synthesis, in addition to the excellent wine menu, has garnered
our "table" an outstanding reputation.
Le
petit déjeuner continental complet, agrémenté de saveurs locales et
produits "faits maison", tels que la marmelade de mangues, le yaourt à la
vanille de TAHAA, et la salade de fruits frais tropicaux, préparés de main de
maître par notre chef.
Déjeuner sur la plage face au Lagon, carte légère et rafraîchissante, servie par
nos serveuses tahitiennes en tenues traditionnelles fleuries.
Notre restaurant vous accueillera pour des dîners aux chandelles
romantiques et raffinés. La diversité des mets et le subtil mélange de saveurs
polynésiennes et françaises, agrémentés de notre sélection de vins font de notre
restaurant, une table réputée…
