Bareboat Cruises

Are you an experienced sailor? You may also charter your own private yacht without a captain or chef.
The Moorings offers a full line of yachts to satisfy every need — from monohulls to catamarans, accommodating 2 to 10 persons. Each yacht is designed to offer superior performance and ease of handling while accommodating your party comfortably for days or even weeks at a time. In addition, all have been built for exceptional durability and safe operation in all weather conditions.

Crewed Yacht Vacations
Ever dream of being aboard your own private yacht with just family and friends? This is the option for you. There are daily rates available from 4 to 6 people (rates for a party of 2 may also be requested). Personal itineraries can be arranged starting with a 3 or 5 night minimum, based upon time of booking. All charters begin and end in Raiatea.

Tahiti -- Typical 7-day Itinerary :
Day 1 • After chart briefing and orientation, depart for Tahaa, sailing inside the reef to Motu Mahaeafor, a good snorkeling afternoon. Anchor in Apu Bay for the night.
Day 2 • Leave early for a 5-hour reach to Bora-Bora’s western shore. Anchor at Motu Tupe, swimming and snorkeling in the beautiful lagoon.
Day 3 • Early in the morning, discover the traditional Lagoonarium where you can swim with turtles, friendly rays, sharks and different kinds of fish. In the afternoon, sail down to the southern shore of Bora–Bora and explore the magnificent coral garden.
Day 4 • Discover the lagoon of Bora-Bora under sail. This is a lagoon where you could happily spend the rest of your days contemplating the Pahia and Otemanu mountains. Anchor for the night close by Bloody Mary’s restaurant.
Day 5 • Back to Raiatea for reprovisioning and an overnight at Faaroa Bay.
Day 6 • Early in the morning, explore the Apoomao river by dinghy. Enjoy an afternoon sail to Tahaa island and anchor in Hurepiti bay on Tahaa’s western shore.
Day 7 • Sailing inside the lagoon, stop at Motu Tautau for snorkeling. Anchor for the night back in Apu Bay.
Final Morning • Sail back to the Moorings base and return the boat by 10:00 a.m.
