AIR FRANCE:
Air France operates wide body service between Los Angeles and Tahiti with convenient schedules connecting to many U.S. cities. Seating throughout the aircraft is spacious and forward cabins include seats reclining 127 degrees in business class and a full 180 degrees in first class.
The Air France
fleet: On 31 December 2001, there were 241 aircraft in operation. It is a
young fleet (average age under 8.6 years old), which is constantly being renewed
with latest-generation aircraft such as the Boeing B777 or the Airbus330-200.
AIR NEW ZEALAND:
From Australia, the booming land down under, to New Zealand, the magical world in miniature to the romantic South Sea islands of Tahiti, Fiji and the Cook Islands...our destinations offer the trip of a lifetime to any and all who venture here.
AIR TAHITI NUI:
Tahiti’s
flag carrier, and the first international airline to be based in the islands,
began operation in November 1998 with wide-body Airbus 340 service. You will
enjoy their friendly Tahitian service and comfortable seating.
Air Tahiti Nui
exclusively operates one of the youngest fleets of Airbus A340-300 aircraft in
the world. These new generation aircraft feature the quietest cabin in the sky
while offering state-of-the-art technology and innovation.
Uniquely suited for long-haul flights, the 294-passenger cabin is rated
as the quietest in the sky with added spaciousness and comfort in all classes.
Reliability and commonality with the Airbus family of A330 and A320 aircraft
make our A340s highly efficient to operate in terms of maintenance, parts, and
crew training. The four-engine configuration allows for maximum efficiency while
surpassing twin-engine limitations on trans-oceanic flights.
The Air Tahiti Nui fleet is powered by the world’s most popular engine:
the CFM56, built by General Electric/Snecma Moteurs of France. Today, this
engine powers over 3,000 aircraft (one take-off every seven seconds worldwide)
and has accumulated more than 100 million flight hours (or some 12,000 years).
